  • The purpose of the Agricultural Committee of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is to promote and support the agricultural industry within Wayne County by fostering collaboration, advocacy, and education. The Committee is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality and sustainability of local farms, agribusinesses, and rural communities. Through strategic initiatives and programs, we aim to:

     

    1. Advocate for policies and practices that benefit the agricultural sector.

    2. Facilitate networking and partnership opportunities among farmers, agribusinesses, and community stakeholders.

    3. Provide educational resources and training to advance agricultural innovation and best practices.

    4. Promote the importance of agriculture to the local economy and community well-being.

MILITARY AFFAIRS

  • The purpose of the Military Affairs Committee of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is to support and advocate for the military community, including active-duty and reservist service members, veterans, and their families. The Committee is dedicated to building strong relationships between the military and civilian sectors to enhance mutual understanding and collaboration. 

     

    Their objectives include:

     

    1. Advocating for policies and initiatives that benefit service members, veterans, and their families, and support their integration into the community.

    2. Promoting awareness of the contributions and needs of the military community within Wayne County.

    3. Facilitating networking and partnership opportunities between military organizations, local businesses, and community stakeholders.

    4. Providing resources, support, and recognition for military personnel transitioning to civilian careers and entrepreneurship.

    5. Organizing events, workshops, and forums that honor military service and address the unique challenges faced by the military community.

     

    By fulfilling these goals, the Military Affairs Committee aims to create a supportive environment where the military community is valued, respected, and well-integrated into the fabric of Wayne County, contributing to the overall strength and unity of the region.

  • The purpose of the Government Affairs Committee of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce is to advocate for policies and initiatives that encourage a favorable business environment and promote the economic growth and prosperity of Wayne County. The Committee serves as the voice of the business community in local, state, and federal government affairs, striving to:

     

    1. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory issues that impact local businesses and the community.

    2. Advocate for policies that support economic development, job creation, and business sustainability.

    3. Facilitate communication and collaboration between the business community and government officials.

    4. Educate Chamber members on relevant policy issues and their potential effects on the local business landscape.

    5. Organize forums, meetings, and events that encourage dialogue between business leaders and policymakers.

    3. Promote volunteerism, community service, and social responsibility among businesses and individuals.
